Francis, Randall and Upshur pools will be open to local canines on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. in the city’s annual Doggie Day Swim.
The D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation partners with the Department of Health to host the free event after the facilities close to residents for the season, according to an announcement.
All pets must have a D.C. dog license to enter the pool; for details, call the Department of Health at 202-535-2323.
Dog handlers, who must be at least 16 years old, may not get into the pool, and there will be a limit of 150 dogs at a time in Francis and 75 each in Randall and Upshur.
Francis Pool is located at 25th and N streets NW; Randall at South Capitol and I streets SW; and Upshur at 4300 Arkansas Ave. NW.
