We’ve been in Kindergarten for a few weeks. In Kindergarten, you get to play games. Our class is learning to treat materials nicely. We are learning letters and numbers, and we are learning to read. Indeed, we treat people nicely and help people.
If someone gets hurt, we help them up. One of our teachers had a baby! When that happens, your teacher stays away for part of the year to take care of the baby. And you get a replacement teacher. We don’t have to bring a lunch box– we get food in the cafeteria. Our classmates are good friends!

I am new to Maret this year. Seven other students and I joined the fourth grade. Everyone has been so welcoming, and I already made friends. Next week, we will be going on a camping trip for three days to Lewes, Delaware.
Moreover, our class will participate in community-building and bonding activities there. I am adjusting to my new schedule. We have Spanish and P.E. four times a week. We also go off to resource classes for science, art, music, library, and tech.
Furthermore, the school counselor comes in to teach SEL (Social and Emotion Learning) once a week. We participated in fun activities that helped me get to know my classmates better. I am enjoying the school lunches. We eat in the cafeteria family-style, so we sit with students from different grades, along with a teacher.
Indeed, it was a great way to get to know other students in the Lower School. We have an assembly on Friday afternoons. The teachers introduced themselves at the first assembly, and all the new students were introduced. We also talked about our theme for the school year: Explore…Persevere…Grow. I am so excited to be a Maret Frog!
