Vehicle of Interest Sought in a Homicide: 700 Block of Princeton Place, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle of interest that is sought in a homicide that occurred on Friday, April 19, 2019, in the 700 block of Princeton Place, Northwest.

At approximately 4:07 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male, inside of a residence, at the listed location, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. 

The decedent has been identified as 16 year-old Breon Austin,of Northwest, DC.

Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 2700 Block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, April 21, 2019, in the 2700 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 7:48 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and threatened the victim.  The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

On Sunday, April 21, 2019, 30-year-old James Gregory,of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).

Suspects Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 700 Block of Euclid Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating three suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, April 21, 2019, in the 700 block of Euclid Street, Northwest.

At approximately 12:17 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and took US currency from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene.

Suspects Sought in a Robbery (Force and Violence) Offense: 1200 Block of 27th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects in reference to a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, April 21, 2019, in the 1200 block of 27th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 11:04 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene.

Arrest Made in an Assault With Intent to Kill (Knife) Offense: 3000 Block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch and the Metro Transit Police Department announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill (Knife) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in the 3000 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 1:10 pm, members of the Third District were flagged down in the 3100 block of 14th Street Northwest for a stabbing victim. Officers located an adult male, suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined the offense occurred outside of the fare gates on the mezzanine level, within the Columbia Heights Metro Station, in the 3000 block of 14th Street, Northwest. The Metro Transit Police Department responded to the scene.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, members of the Metro Transit Police Department located and arrested 20-year-old Delonte Hunter, of Northeast, DC. He was charged with Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch has assumed responsibility for this case due to the severity of the victim’s injuries.

Arrest Made in an Aggravated Assault Offense: 900 Block of 21st Street, Northwest 

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Aggravated Assault offense that occurred on Monday, April 22, 2019, in the 900 block of 21st Street, Northwest.

At approximately 5:00 pm, the suspect assaulted an elderly victim, while on a DC Circulator bus, at the listed location.  The suspect then fled the scene. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 54-year-old Marvin Davis, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.

Suspect Sought in a Robbery (Force and Violence) Offense: 3700 Block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in the 3700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 5:57 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One suspect snatched the victim’s property and assaulted the victim. The suspects then fled the scene.

Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 3100 Block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in the 3100 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 7:37 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal dispute in an establishment at the listed location. The suspect then threatened the victim and brandished what appeared to be a handgun. Responding officers apprehended the suspect and recovered a BB gun.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 26 year-old Timothy Brown,of Woodbridge, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

Suspects Sought in a Robbery (Snatch) Offense: 1800 Block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects in reference to a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in the 1800 block of 14th Street, Northwest. 

At approximately 3:19 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects snatched the victim’s property, and then both suspects fled the scene.
