The Glover Park post office at 2336 Wisconsin Ave. is not receiving mail when it should. Last Friday, January 11th, 2019, it did not receive any, according to Ms. Akiko, who staffs it. Neither did it on Monday, January 14th.
The signs above the mail boxes all say that patrons can pick up their mail at 11:00 a.m., though this past Tuesday was the first day in over a week when that was possible. For the past month the delivery has very seldom arrived at the post office before 11:00 a.m. if at all, Akiko has told at least one patron.
In spite of the fact that the Glover Park post office received no mail on Friday or Monday and is never open on Saturday, the on-time Tuesday delivery according to Akiko was very small. The afternoon delivery was normal, she said.
The office of the District Postmaster has been informed of the problem.
