Temporary closures of Rock Creek Parkway lanes between Whitehurst Freeway and just north of M Street NW will begin this Sunday, June 11, according to a news release.

The D.C. Department of Transportation will be closing single lanes of the parkway, northbound and southbound, to accommodate ongoing repairs to Pennsylvania Avenue’s bridge over Rock Creek.

The project is expected to affect parkway traffic in that area for about five weeks, with the lane closures taking place between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and at nighttime Sunday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. One lane of the parkway will remain open at all times, the release states.
